In southern Burgenland there is a sunny hill with a large triangular courtyard that has been prepared with a lot of love and effort. Ecological building, organic shapes, creative approaches and a lot of know-how are used to prepare the family property and make it a cozy place.

Wild bees are allowed to settle in hollow tree trunks, pheasants nest in the tall grass, your own vegetables grow in the garden, ducks splash around and chickens cluck around the area.

But behind the romanticism there is also a lot of debate - understanding the nature of the soil, finding creative solutions to integrate sustainability in building and design, re-understanding species-appropriate interaction with animals, establishing resource cycles and balancing love and care with one's own capacities.

The 7 hectare site is designed with great care and grows into a large edible garden; many variations of local fruit trees, berries and bushes can be found here. Regenerative agriculture is practiced and animals find their welcome place in the cycle.

The Love of Trees and their beautiful bodies - an Inspiration

Trees are so beautiful and a lot of the soul of the tree is imprinted into its body, which we just call wood. Divinity shows itself in the beauty of everything - also in material forms, shapes, textures and structures. And so its easy to stumble over a lot of precious material which to transtorm into something else, that you can carry with you, surround yourself with or use in everyday life is simply a great joy.

Wooden rarities

There are always particularly large, old trees that are felled or whose time has come, which would then be processed into firewood or, because their size can no longer be processed with normal sawmills, are left lying there. If possible, these are taken away and cut into panels and boards using a mobile sawmill. After being stored for several years, the wood is dry and can be further processed.

There is a selection of different types of wood in stock, such as walnut and oak and various fruitwood. Please contact us for further information

Get a piece made of your own tree
